OPENING ACTS:

Jason Christopher Robertshaw

Jason is a well respected dancer, choreographer, instructor and mentor in Bangor, and has come a long way since he began his dance career at the age of 16.  With a vast amount of experience and talent we are privaledged to have Jason perform for us and open our show with a pirates of the Carribean special.

This is what Jason had to say about his special performance:

I chose the original Pirates of the Caribbean music to introduce my brand new contemporary dance classes to the opening of “Pagan’s Pole and Dance Academy” back in January; the track is high energy and of course was made very popular by the films, so this was my starting point! I choreographed the movement with a group piece in mind for my current students, but believe that it also works as a solo. The costume is simply a bit of fun really, but also relates back to the films.

Performing the dance myself gives me the opportunity to demonstrate to you - the audience, what type of style and speed I teach at, so you get an insight into my classes and what I get up to! The majority of my contemporary classes are based around the type of movement that you will see in the piece... I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoy dancing it!
